About Us
An independent gaming magazine, written by people who finish the games they write about.
Joypad Guild was founded on a simple idea borrowed from the old trade guilds: a craft is best judged by people who practise it. Our writers are players first. We finish games before we score them, we test hardware before we recommend it, and we name our sources wherever we can.
What Joypad Guild covers
News, reviews, PC, console, mobile, esports, guides and hardware. Every story carries the name of the writer who is accountable for it.
How we are funded
Joypad Guild earns money from advertising and from affiliate links on some hardware recommendations. Neither affects coverage or scores. Sponsored content is always labelled. Read the full editorial policy.
Meet the guild
Three staff writers cover every desk. Meet the Joypad Guild team, or see our open roles.
